Erasmus meeting day 2 school collaboration - eTwinning

Today's events included final presentations by the Romanian delegation, an eTwinning workshop run by yours truly, an afternoon lunch to a traditional tavern in the mountains and a walk through the cobbled streets of Omodos.

We finished off the country presentations learning about Romanian towns and our partner schools. We had a break and then off to our eTwinning session for 90 minutes.

I introduced the project page and showed teachers and students how to add documents, images and videos along with many for of the sites functions.

We also looked ant the new chat and meeting funcrions. I added all of the students onto eTwinning so that they can begin to upload their work for the project and they they collaborated in groups on their presentations which will be shown on Friday.

Students were active in getting online and preparing their work for the end of the week.

At around 1pm we headed to the mountains for lunch in a Cypriot tavern.

We had a really delicious meal and the students enjoyed their visit to the old town of Omodos.

Traditional salad and kebabs.

Here we walked through the old town of Omodos. A very pretty and quaint little village in the Cyprus hills. The town is home to the only mine stay in Cyprus.

The cobbled streets we filled with tourist shops filled with lovely traditional souvenirs and food.

Tomorrow we will work on the project objectives and outcomes at school.
