Day trip to Cologne Erasmus day 4

After meeting the group of nearly 200 people from 7 different countries at the train station we embarked on a glorious day out to the city of Cologne ( Köln). As the train was a commuter train and we were all sitting in different places the conductor and driver allowed Sigi to used the intercom to announce that Erasmus students need to depart at the next stop!

Is that William with a McFlurry for breakfast?

We arrived to see the magnificent cathedral and had an hour to explore its internal beauty.

Those who did not fear the hights and could take on the climb, took a journey to the top!

The weather was glorious - 20 degrees and sunny!

Couldn't have asked for a better day.

After the cathedral we had time to visit the many other sights of Cologne such as the Roman, mustard, or chocolate museums! I bet you can guess which ones the students chose. There was also a beeline for the shops in particular, Primark!

A nice lunch with the addition of some famous German torte and then shopping for souvenirs followed by an hour train ride back to Mülheim.

Then a bit of free time for shopping! Gifts on their way parents!
Sally: Today we went to Cologne and we got to see the cathedral which was massive and we got to learn that the cathedral is over 1,200 years old !!
Then we went shopping with our exchange partners which was really fun 💕
And now we all are going to a BBQ at Sophie's exchange partners house 😝

Tomorrow is our presentation day as it's our last day (likely a few tears) and a farewell dinner prepared by the parents. Students will also have time to attend a workshop st the Camera Obscura as well
