Erasmus + Tuesday European teaching day

We started the day early and were in lessons teaching by 8:30. German students took part in my lesson which had them interpret the stories written by LSAstudents (from Mr Prescott's class) about Lytham st Annes "then and now" and then present as if they were a Tour Guide in our town!

They did a superb job and all of this was completed in English.

LSA students were in lessons by 8:00 am and also too part in the Erasmus lessons. Some learned a little Polish and others had a history lesson on Italy's famous scientist, Volta - sound familiar?

In the afternoon we visited the exhibit st the Gasometer in Oberhausen. It was an exhibit on all things in nature and the photos were life like and life size in many cases.

Following this the students went to Centro to have lunch (and shop) if they wanted to and thier evening was free!
Teachers stayed behind and ha a picnic in the garden of the museum. We then had a couple of hours of freetime to also visit Centro, the shopping mall.

Tonight teachers will head to a restaurant to meet the Headteacher and other staff from the school for a traditional German meal.
Tomorrow we wil continue with Europe in the box and also spend time in lessons. In the afternoon, we will visit Essen.
